Shadowrun is actually awesome! What the fuck was up with reviewers and gamers

I just got ShadowRun. I swear this game got served a journalistic vendetta by a core group of cocksuckers who didnt get free loot thru their marketing departements.

I've been playing all evening, and WOW. The graphics are pretty good; the races are so much fun, the firefights are actually strategic, the magic powers are such a god damn blast to use. I love playing as a elf with a katana. i get killed all the time but the rush of sneaking behind the fire lines hoping to get a few backstabs is so fucking hardcore. I love the fact that you have to massacre the corpses so that they are unusable for ressurection. This game is just so awesome it made me sound like a 13 years old who drank too much energy drinks.

how come people hate it? I'll admit, I really wanted a single player shadowrun game, and i was pissed at first by the fact that it looked like a cyberpunk counter-strike, but the game is sooo much fun.

I'm really, really impressed.

I thought it was really fun for like 2 weeks.  And then the lack of content started to get to me.  And I was never happy about the lack of a FFA deathmatch.  And Willco sez the Halo-tards rushed in once the Gaylo Tres beta ended, turning it into Shit Sandwich.

i was part of the shadowrun love fest.  sucks that i couldn't connect to games though, turned me off and i haven't played in a LONG ass time... especially when my 360 went to shit.

It was a good game, 'till the community expanded and adopted selfish, frag-oriented players.  The lack of teamwork ultimately kills this game and since there's nothing else to do, I'm done with it until Microsoft addresses this issue with some more DLC.

QFT. But I also agree with TVC. It was an all right game (based on the demo) just lacked content.

If this game even had a PDZ-level single player campaign I would have purchased it at full price. It's on sale at amazon.ca for $44 right now, but even that seems steep for a MP only game (without FFA).

just back from playing for like 3 hours with a friend, this game kicks so much asses. My favorite combo is Dwarf + Rez + System Link (or whatever) and smoke. I stay behind and I save the troops while providing solid fire support. This game is so fucking awesome. Last time I felt like that about a fps game was in the early days of my CS playing or back when I used to play doom2 over modem.

I honestly feel like writing an email to the company to give them props for the game
