well the point I brought up was living a sheltered life with a 20X20 foot space for you in the house can't be healthy.
the point that U2K brought up was that OVERPOPULATION IS KEWL.
the point that cyanista brought up is that ONE person (other homeschooled kids I know usually say daddy's the principal) has to teach about a 15 year age gap in kids EVERYTHING and maybe forcing jesus and sub-standard education isn't a good idea.
the point that michelle brought up is I have no fucking idea.
I already explained why this is not "sheltered". That's a stupid generalization that doesn't fit most homeschool kids, who participate in school sports/programs. You guys make it sound like homeschool kids don't go outside, don't mingle with "regular" kids, etc.
One parent does not teach all the kids, all the time; this is another misconception that I've already discussed ages ago. My mom is a smart woman in many ways, but there are areas where she was out of her league. My dad graduated from med school and was more than capible of teaching me math and biology. The organizations I spoke of also offer that: my dad for instance would help teach other homeschool kids their maths/bio, while other parents would give me special lessons for other things; I had chemistry lessons with a pharmacist, for instance. The parents work together in this way to further create a community. That's why I brought up these organizations. I know hundreds of homeschool kids, and most of their parents are connected with some local group to some degree.
But hey, who cares what I say right? This is why any sort of constructive discussion is never possible on this subject. When I speak my nonsense in evolution threads I'm quickly shot down (and for good reason) for not knowing what the hell I'm talking about. Here you and others are doing similar things. Whatever floats your boat I guess
