Dexter Season 2 starts great, but...

... I think it's obvious from here that if they continue to push the series into this direction, that it is a series that could really only maintain three or four seasons at the max.  I wouldn't be surprised if they weren't able to escalate it into next season.  I think it has a remarkably short life ahead of itself, and I wonder if Showtime plans on doing just a couple of seasons and ending it or milking it 'til it runs into the ground.

I got the impression she kinda convinced herself he's a drug addict.

The newpaper thing was silly, but I think Dexter saying he knows that face was just him saying he knows how she feels... he probably should have just said that instead.

I enjoyed them. They should end it ona  high note, instead of draggin it out for cash.

Yeah I should rewrite the drug addict line.  She brings it up, he just runs with it because it gets him out of the "I inadvertantly had your husband murdered" doghouse.

The face thing, there can be other interpretations than my own, but it's blatant, unecessary exposition.  It stuck out and felt out of place.

Im HOPING they stop after no more than 3 seasons. Shows like this should be that way - short and titty fucking awesome sweet. No need to run on for 6 seasons with gradually dwindling quality. Keep things brief, and go out in peak form.
