Devil Summoner is okay. Too easy, there's only 50-60 demons, wtf random battles in town, average battle system. SMT lite.

Worst SMT I've played by far and I've played through SMT 1, 2, If, 3, Persona 1, 2, and DDS1+2.

Make sure it is the last SMT you play after you beat the rest.

Devil Summoner seems to be going for $30 at GS/EB now... thinking about picking it up. I need to get around to DDS2 and Nocturne one of these days, DDS1 was really the only Megaten game I've ever completed.

Unlike most RPGs, SoA started off pretty good. I'll finish it someday on the GC. Unless they bring it out on the PSP. SoA would definately be a great PSP game. Why is FF8 your favorite FF? I've only played FF7 and FF10 so I'm not a FF expert but I've heard many people say that 8 is by far the worst.

FF8 is a love it or hate it game. It's in some ways, experimental. It takes effort to "get" it.

The only REAL RPG I've ever played and beaten was FFIV. 9.5 imo. I loved the story, and the characters as well. No game has made me "care" about a group of characters more than FFIV. As they disappeared and in some cases died I felt various emotions.

TRUE STORY: I HATED Edward in the beginning of the game, mainly because the pussy's special move was to jump out of battle and let a helpless girl take his licks. But he does something "special" to save the group later in the game. So anyway I remember yelling "Edward, NO!" at my DS late one night as he fell to his doom or whatever. My brother (who was in the room) still gives me shit about that a year after the fact

Smooth: SoA's best part was the last 15 hours, but whats great is getting to that 15 hours was a lot of fun cause the whole game was teh fun.

FF8 had a great battle system that could be cheesed, awesome card games, the best looking summons, and well, 9 was too slow for me, 10 was LOL even if the battle system was keen, and 12 was gambit system crap. 7 was ok/

just recently have a newfound love for rpgs, especially after my rpg binging in my teens. i think the SMT series helped spark the interest once again. i'm actually playing 3 RPGs concurrently. DDS2, brave story, and tales of the world. all great games, and drinky was right, brave story gets better (and more difficult).
