NoFlyZone: Where do you post what on the internet?

Between my forum/blog addiction I have 4 primary service providers.

- EvilBore
- OpaAges
- NEOGAF
- LiveJournal

I barely have time for this kind of stuff so my usage across all systems is pretty minimal. Often I can be found reading forums at work, especially when sitting in meetings where iv heard it all before..... but not much time to post when working...

Anyway - my usage and use of each service goes like this;

- Posting at EvilBore:

I want to post a question or a reflection about actual game gameplay and have people respond who have likely played it and wont just spam the thread with the same old web review taglines, sales stats or review scores.

- Posting at OpaAges:

I want to post some media/news that may be racy (I.E. Special blu tooth reciever in the Wii causes cancer in 85% of wii users) or just blow off steam with people who dont get all emotional about shyt posted on a web forum. Its great to know that its unusual there to get banned for speaking your opinions out-loud and you dont have to worry about a massive shit-storm avalanche of viral marketer public record bitches only trying to control information on the web so that it favors their employer trying to cock block you when you have some bad news about their sponsor.

- Posting at NEOGAF:

I dont - its not worth taking the time to post somewhere where some other personal agenda or advertiser tip-off will lead to your banning. No thanks...if anything I will post the most public consumption and balanced (what do you think?) kind of generic public polls that could be found on the Wii voting channel. - and even then, not having expressed an opinion, I will anticipate my banning.

This is the place for reallife friends only. No internet unknowns. Its really just a good tool to keep up with your inner circle of personal contacts. Posting one message about your life is more managable than calling/emailing 100 or so mates. Its my stay in touch tool. I will say its creepy when someone dies, and their ghost journal sits there active on my friends list everyday....

I really only post here.  I post at GAF if there's an OT thread I have moderate interest in, which doesn't appear often.  I lurk the Shoryuken.com game specific threads when I'm in the mood for love.  For personal contacts, I use Facebook when applicable.

I post here, CAG, PlayStation Universe, etc.

I also make comments on blogs a lot and spend a lot of time on Facebook.  I sometimes post at message boards in groups, or manage the groups I created (such as the Tales group, Xenogears group, Atelier Iris group, Lunar group, and many more RPG series groups).

EB is the only one for me.

EB, NeoGAF (though I'm banned for the remainder of the week), and occasionally post stuff to a Livejournal. I have a Myspace that is all but bare, I just use it to be able to look at pictures in profiles. And I of course have Match/OKCupid accounts for meeting women.

EB and GAF... but mainly post here -- my shit gets lost in gaf threads all the time.  i don't depend on them for gaming news like i used to a few years back.  i use gametab.com for that.

i lurk at OA on occasion, usually for a quick laugh.  don't think i've ever registered though.

I meet WAY more girls on Match, but the ones I end up meeting on OKC usually stick around a lot longer and are much more compatible. I tried eHarmony for a bit last year, that one was the absolute worst. The most expensive, the least number of matches, and the ones they matched me with weren't what I was looking for at all!

Iv never tried online statistical matchmaking? Is there something there worth looking at?

I usually end up naturally meeting people that I am not very compatible with (not to be discovered untill we live together )

A friend of mine told me its only good for 1 night hook-ups. I remember going to the clubs with a group of friends one time...one of my friends had a girl with him that he met on match.com...we never saw her again and my friend said she was using match.com to fukk a bunch of guys behinbd her boyfriends back....thats just the kinda drama I dont want...

Nowadays, I basically post on Evilbore exclusively since I like most of the people here and there's a level of maturity combined with a relaxed atmosphere that's missing in most other forums.  I do still lurk on GAF, but I've lost my patience for posting there.

I mainly post on three boards, but I'll list all the ones I'm involved with

-Evilbore: Originally EB was just disposable fun for me, a place where I could come and just go crazy. More recently it's become more of an interest of mine, and I've put more effort into my posts heh. I like the environment, and it's great being around guys like Drinky/MAF. Honestly there's no one here I don't like, which is pretty damn impressive.

-GAF: GAF is a lot of things. The place is all about personality to me, and I'm sure everyone knows what mine is there. I go there for news, videogame stuff, sports, etc. Plus I love the community. While EB has a handfull of my favorite posters, GAF features the rest. IMO Ninja Scooter, Anihawk, and Bionic77 are the funniest posters there.

-Gamebunker: Gamebunker was the second message board I ever posted on (RRMB being the first...), and the place on the internet that I consider my virtual home. I truly consider myself friends with many (if not most) of the posters there, and I know some in real life. It's pretty small now, and its classic days are long gone...but it's a tight knit community I've enjoyed for more than 4 years. It's the only message board where my "real life" personality is fully revealed
