I wish that Cyanista could give her a beatdown. Bitch might have spoiled the Iron Man movie for me even before its release. Ever-elegant, my ass. She wasn't so elegant when her hairy bush and ugly breasts were shown in those pictures with Brad Pitt.

However, it turns out the girl with the privileged upbringing says she has a lot of "secret geeky qualities." Well, her interpretation of "geek" might need an asterisk next to it.
"My geekiness is more about food or like interior stuff or music, so the comic thing was new to me," Paltrow says. "My brother read a lot of comics growing up and ... I of course knew it existed, but I didn't really know the extent and ... how urban and passionate the fans are and everything."
What drew Paltrow to the project was the opportunity to work with Robert Downey Jr., who portrays the film's title character. She says she's wanted to work with him (and Johnny Depp -- one down, one to go) since she was a teenager. She recalls, "They said it's [going to be directed by] Jon Favreau, and I love his films, and they said it's Robert Downey Jr., Terrence Howard and Jeff Bridges, and I was like, 'Great, I'm in. What is it?' Then I kind of got familiar with it and I'm so glad I did it. I had the best time."
Paltrow discovered that, like many of Marvel Comics' classic characters, Iron Man, aka by the public as billionaire inventor Tony Stark, has just as many faults as heroic attributes. Through the years, Stark has had a history of alcoholism, womanizing and behavior as kooky as that of his historical inspiration, Howard Hughes. The movie finds Paltrow playing Virginia "Pepper" Potts, Stark's executive assistant who is also an integral part of his life. As Paltrow describes it, she's "a little bit fraternal, a little bit sexual, and they have a very fun relationship. She's kind of the moral center. She's constantly trying to rein him in."
Audiences haven't seen Paltrow in a big movie in quite some time. The birth of her daughter, Apple, in 2004 and her son, Moses, last year forced her to take smaller supporting roles in films such as "Infamous" and "Running With Scissors." She doesn't feel she'll work as much as she did in her 20s, but she's not going to disappear again.
"There was really a point where I thought, I don't know if I want to do this anymore. Then when Moses was about six months old, I really felt the desire coming back," Paltrow says. "What's nice for me is that I feel so much enthusiasm for my work again and it was really important for me to have that break."
"Iron Man" was the buzz of this year's Comic-Con (just wait till the first trailer comes out), and if it's as big a hit as people expect, Marvel Studios already has Paltrow and company signed (in "blood," she jokes) for two sequels. Considering how much fun she says she had making the flick, it doesn't sound as if future installments will be a problem.
