Im a superfan of WSG. I mean big, I love it. I LOVE IT. Hell, AB is starting to grown on me now too. I hated AV tho, least on horde side. Its always horde fighting raid gear kit alliance twinks and losing.

The question is this, how is Eye of the Storm? Do I have something to look forward to? I really only WoW to PVP these days. I just queue up, play PSP till the gong, then off I go.

I haven't bothered to play it since I don't like to PVP that much but no one in my guild seems to like it.  They all queue AB.

EOTS is the best of all the battlegrounds, a culmination of everything learned from previous battlegrounds.

WSG sucked because it was easy for a bunch of alliance tards to turtle.  I quit playing it because I got sick of 2-0 games that took forever because the other team decided that if they couldn't win they would rather make the game go on forever.  Turtling bases doesn't work in EOTS because the other team will score the flag over and over.

AB (previously the best BG IMO) felt cheap at times because it was easy to ninja a cap point and fuck things up.  Claiming a cap-point in EOTS is a little more difficult, but not as bad as....

Alterac Valley, where you have to hold down a graveyard for like 5 minutes.  EOTS is a symmetrical map as well, so there's no problems like with AV, where one side gets a cakewalk into the enemy base and the other side gets the Bridge of Death.

Even in slow, stalemate games one or both sides will probably be collecting resources constantly -- so there is always an end in sight.  This is in sharp contrast to WSG and AV, which can continue on forever.....making casual play a dicey proposition.  While it's theoretically possible for an EOTS game to go on forever, it's highly unlikely that you will spend more than 45 minutes in a single game.

I dunno border Horde manages to beat alliance at WSG almost all the time on my server, even when twinked. I think good team work can overcome even the worst turtle. Course if its a numbers game your chances even with good team work steadily decline.

I used to be a member of the 'True Blues' on Gilneas with Shamtastic n Co and we had a rule of not being twinked against the twinked alliance, and we honestly dominated. Of course we were smart and stuck with the 50-59 bracket :)

AB 1-39 sux cause of the lack fo a mount, but I still play it because the wide open spaces gives a mage room to work.

AV I hate.

Tho what you say about Eye of the Storm has me excited; the idea of something possibly better than WSG :)

EOTS is complete ass, at least in my opinion. It's like they spent a whole 5 minutes slapping it together. It's messy shit. It's nice for pugging I suppose though. You can run around and kill people and still be helping the team. There's not much to it at all.

EotS is WSG + AB and really nothing that exciting.  I'd rather they make new maps for the gametypes they have.  WSG is still the only fun one, but AB can be nice if you are doing premades and have actual organization.  I'd say Halaa battles are better than EotS even.

EotS is about capping towers and then capping flags. Most end up like AB though and become 4 cap gy campings.  Unlike AB though, you can't sneak out and ninja a flag easily to get out of a gy camping. So a lot of the EotS matches end up in just straight GY campings, that are restrained just so the other side doesn't all quit and make the game end before 2000 points.  The battlecry is usually "QUIT SO THEY DON'T GET FULL HONOR" or "STOP CAMPING THEM SO THEY DON'T QUIT!"  The map though is more balanced than say AB or AV, but that's why they need more maps for the same gametype instead of an unimaginative mixing of two old gametypes.

AB really needs a restructure.  The flag position of the farm and BS is closer and easier to defend than stables and BS, so Horde just go straight up the middle most of the time, and mine is easily the weakest base and at times almost a throwaway.

Are WSG and AB traditionally busier at the higher levels? Muradin is almost a ghost town in the 30-39 bracket

AB is pretty empty at high level, people try out EotS because it's new and easy to do casually.  Mostly it's whatever is the bonus weekend has people and everything else is empty.  AV s probably the busiest overall because it's still best for grinding honor.

What are you going to PvP as? What class?  I thought you had a Warrior.  I ask because MS War with Blacksmithing pretty much dominates currently.  Get yourself a healer buddy, paladin preferred and you can gear up through arena pretty nicely.

Im doing a mage on horde side and I do pretty well considering im still low level in the bracket`. I love my warrior, but I HATE alliance PVP. They just can never seem to get their act together half the time.
