What's your opinion on love tattoos?

My brother got one the other day for his wife on his arm that has her name and says in Hebrew "To my beloved, and my beloved is mine". I really am not into the whole tattoo thing but what's your thoughts?

My cousin (sweet girl, albiet misguided, and a total guidette)'s b/f ODed on oxycontin a year or two ago, and she got a giant lower back tattoo of "RIP DJA" with a cross and everything... not to mention this guy was a total scumbag and I think he hit her (only met the kid once, seemed your average run-of-the-mill wigger). She's still heartbroken over this kid, too, hasn't moved on yet... but when she does, I have no idea how she's gonna explain that one to her future b/fs or anything.

I don't understand why anyone would get a tattoo, considering that laser removal seems to not be very efficient - if you change your mind later on (be it because you broke up or just decided you didn't like the design anymore), you're screwed.

laser doesn't remove it?  if you were desperate enough you could just completely cut the skin off I guess and have it grow back, might have weird scar?

From what I've seen, laser doesn't do a great job of removing it.  And yeah, cutting off the skin would leave a huge fucking scar.

Well i have 12 of them, so i cant say i like them or love them, i just got them when i was younger. My favorite one is the word " CALIFORNIA " which is on my belly.

On a side note, i wouldnt suggest you get them. I cant say why, but if i could go back in time, i wouldnt have got them. So you know, your choice, your temple, choose wisely.

All I know is I saw many ladies in bikinis the last couple of days and pretty much EVERYONE has a tramp stamp. Not getting a tattoo is an act of rebellion.
