The 1up crew says that it's better than the Halo novels.  It's probably a masterpiece compared to the stuff you've read recently.   :lol

THE FLOOD sucked so if theyre judging it against that I dunno. If the novel follows the game at all probably not. The Flood has taught me that novels that cover what happens in the game are BAD

It's supposedly a prequel that tells the story of how the main villain in Mass Effect became a bad guy.  But still, reading videogame novels?   :lol

the first halo novel is no worse than the average fantasy/sci-fi summa you folks read purportedly for entertainment, so let's not pull the snob card here

You pull the snob card with am nintenho & Nintendo fans even though you like fucking Rengoku 2!

I read all sorts of books buddy.

I know. I'm just trolling.  I would rather make a PS3 troll w/Bioshock as ammo but Prole already made used up my ideas today.   :(

Fine, I recommend that MAF read some Harry Potter.  Children's novels for adults is a far more respectable genre than videogame novels.  Videogame novels are just half a step up from Choose Your Own Adventure "books".

HP would not be above the ME books.

The ME books are about describing the overall political grey area of the setting (no real good/evil) so it'd be interesting to read to see how the game may be.

The game definitely looks like it'll be a lot more subtle and better paced then KOTOR since the story, from what I know, isn't completely bare-bones.
