I played the demo on OXM.  Not bad, but nothing has really changed and the game hasn't really evolved any.  IMO, just looks like Katamari HD.  I'll get the game, but when it's at least $30.

They could have tried to make it look more like the artwork the game is based on.  Instead, they just went and made the least amount of effort possible.  GAFfers even say the frame rate's very jumpy, which was never a problem in past Katamari games.

Katamari is the type of game that's only fun the 1st time you play it.

I've enjoyed both PS2 installments and the PSP one was...alright, but nothing special.

The problem with the Katamari games is that, like all collection games, they're only as fun as the stuff you get to collect.  Once you get used to collecting people, vehicles, plants, buildings, etc., you want weirder and weirder stuff, and the last installments have failed to provide enough of that.

the katamari demo was good, not great.  i'm still picking it up.  katamari in HD > any katamari in SD.  and WTF @ people thinking the graphics look 'meh', it's a fucking KATAMARI game people.

This is the first time I've played a Katamari game, I like it, when's it out? Is there an endless mode?
