I love how lacking in morals you all are, but when it comes to something like downloading a game it's all 'no way, man!!!!'
every person criticizing the piracy of Bioshock or gaming in general in this thread uses pirated movies, music, games, software, or has done so in the past
and IMO, "morals" have always been manipulative creeds spread and enforced by the chosen few with power to control the masses and keep them fearful and obedient, in order to sway them from their personal needs and desires when these conflicted with what the first group selfishly wanted

and why did you all make such a big deal out of this? I just came back from watching 300 (on a REAL Blu-Ray disc) and then there's this huge controversy... it wasn't gloating, it was merely making the link with Bioshock being sold early and the consequent possibility of it being released on the Internet
yes, Bioshock is one title that I wouldn't mind paying for, especially since I have hundreds of dollars in EBGames store credit, but I refuse to be bound to a noisy system that is so unreliable by genuine games
anyhow the party is soon to be over, the PS3 has successfully curbed piracy and every system in the next-generation will probably prevent it too
and I think that somehow, it's ultimately the publishers' duty to make their games even more attractive or well-protected in order to keep bootlegs away from our filthy hands... to make a game so great that you can possibly feel like an asshole for pirating it is a good start... and also, for example, downloadable-only PSN and Xbox Live games (of quality) work well... if they're cheap enough, and available instantly, then you happily pay for it and don't even think of piracy
