Holy fuck is this game awesome, just beat the first boss.  I picked the game up for 10 bucks to see what it was like a year ago and just finally got to playing it.  It is fucking hard though  .

I thought on Gamecube the mic plugged into a memory card slot?

Yes, it fell out of the little controller clip thing not out of the memory card slot.
