I would have liked huge jackman instead, as his style is already like a parody of snake.

i saw 300 the other day and found the whole thing unintentionally hilarious. i don't know whether this was because of all the SPARTAAAAA photoshops, or whether i was responding to the same basic ridiculousness that produced all the SPARTAAAAA photoshops. but there's really something funny about that guy with his goaty beard shouting and killing the shit out of everybody for no very good reason. oh, and i was totally cheering for mcnulty when he did the queen up the bum. gj mcnulty

It just popped up on my movie news text messages, so I'm guessing it's fairly new.

lol mcnulty

I pretty much felt the same way about the movie.  I had a blast seeing it in the theatre with friends, and I was like all testosteroney when the DVD release was coming up, but a few days before I figured there was no way I'd ever enjoy watching it again as much as I did the first time, and that the memory and fun of watching it and laughing with friends was probably the best part of the movie, and that doesn't come on the DVD.  Almost similar to say, watching Rocky Horror on DVD or something.

That was McNulty?  Yeesh.  I saw 300 before the Wire, and I guess he didn't really stick out in it.  I keep discovering that Clive Owen was in things I've seen before (Bourne Identity?  Croupier?  Gosford Park??) I saw Inside Man and he became CLIVE OWEN to me.

When I watched the movie, I was kind of torn between camp humor and apprehension that the people around me really thought it was a good movie.  It was like when I saw Transformers and the audience clapped at the end.  Don't encourage them, folks!  They'll just make more like it.

I wonder if idiot gamers who never saw the original will think this movie is ripping off Metal Gear Solid.
