Eh, just an up and down day from what I can tell from a quick look at the numbers.
I'm in my investments for the long haul. Stuff goes up, stuff goes down, I rebalance every year and some years I'll make tons of money and some years I want. I'll be well ahead in the timeframe I am looking for though (30 years out).
Playing the stock game day by day would be harrowing, though. Not for me-unless it is a stock market simulation game. With lots of sliders. Maybe a diplomacy screen or two.
