New demos on PSN
« on: August 17, 2007, 03:20:37 AM »
Dirt and NCAA Football demos should be available on PSN soon.  Though I'll pass this info along since most of you PS3 owners probably haven't turned it on in months.  Gotta give Sony balls for putting up the NCAA football demo since it's common knowledge that the PS3 has the shit version.  It'll be interesting to see how Dirt looks after the developer's comments that the PS3 version will look better.

Evidently the PS3 version of Dirt has the better framerate.

That's what I heard, anyways.

Got to see that for myself.  They said that about the PS3 version of Oblivion too but Prole and other non-Sony loyalists confirmed that it was bs.

The PS3 version of Oblivion DOES look better than the 360 one after the upgrade overall, save for the aliasing.

Why are you so obsessed with opposing anything related to Sony's ambitions? I'll never understand these people who just make a thousand paraphrases of the same doom and gloom post on a message board and ver y little else. What a waste.

It serves very little to read these people's posts in depth because you can predict what they'll say in advance, it's always the same message with a few different subjects and adjectives switched over. You should go to Reanimated-Age and join the collective 360 jerk-off sessions, you'll be in anti-Sony nirvana there.

come on man, DiRT and NCAA? DiRT. and NCAA. would you plug in the ethernet for those? the only reason anyone did was to start the distinguished mentally-challenged comparison threads on GAF.

Oblivion PS3 had obvious framerate issues near oblivion gates, and while the crisp look of aliasing might be a boon for some, I think it looks fuk ghetto.

ps3 oblivion also has worse lighting, worse shadows, and some seriously low-grade stencil effects. it hitches less in the overworld due to that fact that it installs to the HD, but the slowdown in the areas inside the oblivion portals is crazy bad. oblivion 360 upgraded SPANKS the ps3 version, technically.
