I need new laptop

What with Gateway fucking me and all, I am again in the market for a new laptop.  I would like to not get a MacBook, but things are leaning that way.

My requirements:

Small; 13 inches or less. Thin and light.  Under 5 pounds is a plus.
Real processor; none of AMDs shitty processors, no ultra portable processors.  I want a C2D pushing at least 1.8ghz.

Decent reviews, kinda pricey.  Good on battery life, but typical Sony shit build quality.  Add an extended warranty to the price.

Apple MacBook

For once, Apple is the cheap option.  A MacBook will get me the fastest processor at the cheapest price, at the expense of a GPU.  Games aren't a priority on my new machine, but some Mythos would be nice.  Also, good build quality on the latest run.

For fucking me like a bitch, Gateway is offering me 25% off on one of their pricier tablets.  It is an ultra portable, meaning that it has a low power consumption C2D processor that clocks in at 1.06Ghz.  It's kind of what I wasn't asking for up above, but I can net one of these really cheap.  Memory is also underclocked.  This is basically an oversized PDA with a super nice screen.

Any other suggestions are up for consideration.  That Dell looks pretty nice.

The GPUs all seemed pretty lame.  Is it not possible to get at least Geforce 7900 power for a mini labtop?  I guess the best choice here would be the mac even though I'm not a big Apple fan.  especially for someone who knows how to install Windows on a Mac like you.  Where do you find out about info like build quality?  It's sad that Sony's quality is unreliable because they do make some very pretty labtops.  In fact, I think the some of the Sonys look better than Macbooks.

Get the Dell and upgrade the GPU if you can.  XPS laptops are great.
