same here.  i've been averaging 3-4 hours a night and i'm on my 20th hour.  it's june 5th on my game.  so much to do..  i finally found some of the s.links you mentioned before.  now i'm swamped with all the micro management.  i'm trying to keep my character as balanced as possible at this point, but it's hard when i haven't even discovered 1/2 of the other arcanas.

there is bunch of shit I missed in this game already but it's a bit late to bother now, Im just concentrating in the S.Links I have now and ignoring the rest. I'm bummed there is no hard mode tho.

I gotta say this is my favorite cast of characters of any rpg, such an awesome group.

i'm still on the fence whether i like this more than nocturne or DDS even.  i think the clunky interface turned me off a bit, and the fact that summoning personas is such a waste of time.  they could have really streamlined everything so that spells were accessible with the type of persona associated with it inside one unified menu.  i totally love that they got rid of random encounters and added an equipment to the game.  that's definitely a plus.  i totally hate the map system though, i wish i could just hit triangle and view the entire map as it is.   most of my quirks are technical and for the most part i'm hooked.

the modified press-turn system still feels weird to me, but it's probably due to all the time spent on the other games.  things are getting more interesting though, and i'm looking forward to getting new characters into my party.  oh, and i'm in love with mitsuru.    :-[

Hyp: Persona has always worked like that when it comes to demon summoning yo equip a persona and you gain that persona's attributes, I feel P3 did a better job at using personas in battles than p2 by far. if you think p3 interface is clunky, you really dont want to touch P2.

word. i'm not a big persona fan in general. I mean, i like the story for 1 and 2, but Persona 3 is really the first one where I've got semen dripping from my nostrils because of it.

i actually like One More more than PT as of now. It feels more...I dunno, fluid? Organic? Less trial and error?

that's true.  i gave p2 a try and it wasn't what i expected.   :lol

they should have made the crane game an actual mini game.  now that would've been cool.

word, not only that but even if you have a decent plan/strategy shit can go south quickly anyway, makes for more interesting fights. in nocturne/dds once you had decent strategy it was pretty hard to lose. also they nerfed the shit out of buffs.

the AI is great, I never felt it gimped my plans at all. in fact it sometimes amaze with the strategy it comes up with like Aigis using sukukaja/rakukaja on me when I was fighting this boss that all it used was physical attacks and always using dekunda when enemies used debuffs

i'm not a big fan of the equipment. One of the best things about these games were that I didn't have to worry about that bullshit. The lack of random battles, I'm mixed on that, because on one hand it's a plus; on the other, smt is like the one rpg series that did random battles RIGHT. it was great getting tense for battles because you weren't exactly sure which would be your last, and I liked that. Then again, that element is still present in P3, because enemies you encounter are still random, it's just you don't die from normal enemies nearly as much. Although I've had my share of deaths because I was careless and got fucked over by 3-4 spams of Mabufu when I have a Pyro Jack equipped.

I guess I should solo more. I think that'd give me more thrills.

Right now my party is:

Oberon
Saravasti
Naga
Berith
Fortuna
Pyro Jack

Pretty good team. I've got a Unicorn and Omoikane for fusion purposes. I tried to fight Emperor while my team mates were fatigued, and as expected, the battle was troublesome. I'm going to have them rest for a few days, and in the mean time I'm going to solo until I'm about level 24. I'll be able to make me a couple of goodies then, like Vetala.

I'm thinking of dismissing my entire party and remaking them so they all have Media. I dunno though. Fortuna's got Media...I think Saravasti's got it...

I dont bother giving healing spells to every persona, yukari and a couple of personas with healing spells is more than enough. I try to spread out a lot attacks between different personas so I have more options in battles.

All of my Persona have varied attacks, but in the chance I ever need healing, it's good to have some options.

Hmmm. I forgot about my Principality. It's got Media too. Oberon's got Media. Nevermind about the fusion thing. I'm level 21 now so I should be making Vetala's and stuff soon. <3

I like samael too, he was probably THE Mudo demon in Nocturne, you kinda get him early in p3 so he only gets mudoon.

Metatron is in the game and he is one my favorites too

also the Persona designs in p3 are badass, Im already getting the

Huh. I beat floor 59 boss easily with a healthy party. Being fatigued really makes a difference. o_O

I have rank 6 Magician Arcana (Kenji), and made a seriously awesome Sati that has both Mabufu and Agilon.

The July Full Moon event is in 6 days, but I'm pretty much done preparing. I've developed a schedule in the mean time, that I can use to balance out my S. Links. I've noticed a lot of recent Personae I have been making are like S. Link rank 1 or 2 or something, so I've decided to spread out my friendship equally. I rotate each S. Link weekly. On one week I hang out with Yoko, the next week I hang out with Maiko;etc.

Monday: Student Council
Tuesday: Art Club/Bebe
Wednesday: Yoko/Maiko
Thursday: Kendo Practice/Gourmet King
Friday: Kenji/Old Couple
Saturday: Chihiro
Sunday: MMORPG with Maya xD/shop on the tv network

Just when I decided to do this, I went and played with Maiko at the shrine and she introduces me to this guy who only appears on Sundays. Sigh.

I've got level 5 Charm, level 3 Academics, and level 3 Courage.

For instance, the daytime high school sim simply has too many characters to befriend. If you decide to adopt a strategy to spread your social links thin, you'll waste a lot of days because you often need to spend more than one day with someone to raise the link's level. If you don't talk to someone for a long period of time, he or she will get mad at you and you'll have to waste another day getting back in good graces. However, if you get to be very good friends with a female, she'll consider the two of you as dating and will get mad if you spend time with any other girl.

lol

Quote
Without a doubt, the most irritating aspect of Persona 3 is your allies' horrible, horrible AI, which is exacerbated by a particularly annoying design decision: if your main character dies, the game is instantly over. Never mind that you can easily revive your allies when they are knocked out; apparently they are just too stupid to figure out how to return the same favor. Since you must, at all costs, keep your leader from dying, the best thing to do in every battle is to knock as many enemies down as possible. Even if you can't knock them all down and get the powerful attack, you can at least steal their turns. However, if you are in the middle of doing this and one of your spells misses, your allies' default AI tells them to attack enemies with the lowest HP. This means they go for the downed enemies you've already hit, which means the enemies regain their turns and get more opportunities to kill the hero.

someone is not using the knockdown tactic.

I love Junpei, Kev. TAH DAH DAH JUNPEI HAS LEVELED UP is the best level up chant/sound/whatever.

I've only encountered 2 Fusion spells:

Orpheus + Asparas = Cadenza (heals 50% hp for whole party, no matter what magic stat. Increases agility highly for whole party)

Jack Frost + Pyro Jack = Jack Brothers (chances knocking down enemies, low odds)

I'm anticipating and getting goosebumps when it's almost time for a full moon event. Not because of the bosses - the full moon bosses are fucking push overs - but for the story. Oh man, oh man it is great to have mind fuck and horror thrown back into the SMT mix. DDS and Devil Summoner didn't have nearly as much as Nocturne or Persona 2.

34 hours in, and I just got into July. I'm preparing for Finals now. At the rate I'm going, it's taking about 12-15 hours per month.

Oh man, that was some awesome shit.
