Do you believe drunkenness brings out the "real you"?
« on: August 20, 2007, 04:17:37 AM »
Because if that's true, I'm one miserable son of a bitch.

But really, I'd like to take this opportunity to apologize for that thread a few nights ago. I usually don't make it to my laptop if I'm drunk.

Back to the question, is MAF really just a ALL CAPS typing psycho, but is able to control it those hours of the day where he's not drunk?

WHY?   :'(

O and to answer the question, I think being drunk, when it's at it's extreme, justs acts as a scaler to your current emotion; amplifying, not reveling.

I dunno. I just never drank enough to get drunk. Probably because I don't like the taste of beer. The only thing I ever drank that tasted good to me was this:

I got a little tipsy from it, but not drunk. I don't know if you can get it outside of Jamaica.

I once played basketball with a bunch of drunk black guys after midnight.  It was one of the most hilarious moments in my life.

i fucking hope not. drinking turns me into an obnoxiously voluble chain-smoking douchenozzle who hits on every girl in sight and spouts unbelievably tactless bullshit that has me wincing through the rest of the week as i recall it.

...the weird thing is that i do much better with girls when i'm trashed. maybe it's just that they're drunk as well

no, but it does amplify my two worst character traits: my need to troll people and my loudness. i am a loud, obnoxious person, and booze makes me into a fucking spectacle.

unless i'm emo, and then it makes me into an emo wuss. hence why i never drink when i'm depressed.

Not really. I just get sleepy and well then its all over.

My drunk IMs usually consist of me screaming about some game or how much I want a 'fucking' pizza. My forum posts are usually LOLOLOL IM DRUNK WTF SHUT UP. I always spend the morning after trying to recall what took place, exactly.

Yes. Your inhibitions are gone, and you say/do things you want to, but wouldnt otherwise when sober, because you fear the consequences. Probably why its so much fun.

I'm going to go with the "amplifies whatever you're feeling" I can be a happy drunk, but the minute any tiny thing goes wrong, I get extremely angry or extremely emo.

Not sure if I ever told the story on here, but on the way to Snakes on a Plane, a few friends and I were drinking and Die Hard came up. My friends were like, "It's not that good" All of them agreed. I got very pissed off. When we got to the theater, I threw a full Heineken keg can to the ground in disgust and was yelling loud as hell in the parking lot. I was yelling and was pissed off for probably a good 10 minutes. Two of my friends actually left.

...I stopped drinking for a while after that.

I've been told by girls, "You're so much more fun when you're drunk!  You should get drunk more often!"

I used to get told this in my days of being wild.  It's a really depressing thing to hear. Sometimes (most of the time?) I'd turn into a complete smarmy asshole when drunk.  It was really rolling the dice when I drank.  I liked the asshole better.  Maybe drinking does bring out the real me.

I turn into an asshole or super-sentimental.  Either way, I get a lot more talkative and apparently say a lot of funny shit.

I have done some truly evil things while drunk, which I have felt extremely guilty about the next day.

Same here, hahah. In fact I just made a fool of myself on the dancefloor at a bar on this past Saturday. I will approach any woman when I have been drinking, often with hilarious results.

Solo: I so I fear falling asleep?

Indeed you do. You are suffering from a rare disease.
