I bought this refurbished after Amazon said it would take until November for my order to ship. Apparently the model isn't made anymore and it's becoming hard to find. The place had a good bbb rating and a generous 30 day warranty so if I have any problems hopefully they will hook it up. I saved $300 in the transaction, but would have rather had a new tv. Newegg was selling them too but they don't offer refunds on bulk items so no thanks.

It's a Pioneer 4270 refurb 42" plasma with supposedly the best scaler in the business.

I never bought Robocop on DVD, and since I've waited this long, I don't mind waiting for the Blu-ray release in October. Same thing with Die Hard.

My wife bought me a Domo-kun piggy bank when I started working in the schools a couple years ago, and today was the day I took it down to the local Coin Star machine to exchange all those coins into an Amazon e-certificate. I just pre-ordered Tekkon Kinkreet, Wings of Honneamise, Black Book and Blade Runner on Blu-Ray.

No instant gratification, but it's nice to know they're all paid for in full.

You can get Amazon, iTunes, Circuit City, Cabelas, etc. e-certificates from CoinStar. And, if you go the e-certificate route, they don't charge you the 8.9 cent/dollar fee.

It varies from machine to machine. Some can even do actual gift cards now, too. Check CoinStar's website and do the machine locater, it will tell what each machine in your area is capable of.
