Folklore Demo for PS3

It's up now on PSN.  I'm still downloading it although I don't have much hopes for this game.

GAF importers enjoyed it, altough they really didn't find it to be a masterpiece, so it should still be an interesting game. At least it sounds pretty original in design, and those monster animations are really fantastic.

you made it sound better than it is.  This game is terrible.  Kameo looks way better, even with its weird character designs.  The presentation is terrible too.  Clicking to read unspoken dialogue is so last-last gen.  It's basically a 3rd tier PS2 game in HD.

I was happy to witness that there was very little voice acting in Folklore's dialogues when playing the japanese demo; voice acting sux and spoils a game's atmosphere in 98% of the cases

I turned it off in Persona 3 and the game is much better this way

Too bad I can't DL the Folklore demo since PS3's networking is such garbage.  I just keep the PS3 unplugged from my router now.

As for the Folklore demo, playing as Ellen was mostly the same, but story/town elements were removed and replaced with more battles. I died on the last boss, but I figured it out. Definitely great though.

As for Keets(sp), his level was completely different from the Japanese demo. Not sure if I liked the way the motion controls worked for his part, but everything else was fine.

After playing the English demo, my anticipation for the game doubled. I already really wanted it, but I want this game even more now.

It's because you have a Linksys router right???  I initially had issues getting my PS3 to work, but after reading the official forums at the Linksys site, I got it to work and never had another disconnect issue.

I love linear games, and that's why I found the demo to be way better than Kameo.

I disagree.  I think Folklore has a more interesting look.  I don't see what's so bad about the presentation.  There will be be games having to click unspoken dialogue.  It's nice because you don't have to deal with terrible voiceacting, and read at your OWN pace IMO.
