The new rolling "what are yar listening to?" thread
« on: August 26, 2007, 05:58:39 AM »
I normally listen to music most of the time I am awake in some way (background random play vs focused listening)

The one thing I bought and focused on this week was;

I hadnt owned this since I was a teenager. Some of its funny, some of its nice - Not sure how often ill listen....its the only thing I like/own from that set of artists - and even then I sold this years ago and its not a must have.

This is their entire body of work on one collection I believe. Bits of vinyl EP's. It was mostly all on another collection before called Night Music.

This is Night Music + more tracks?

NiN: The Fragile
The Flaming Lips: At war with the mystics
Faith No More: This is It, The Best of
ZZ top: platinum collection
Smashing Pumkins: Zeitgeist
Scorpions: The very best of

i'm all over the place lately. i really wish i could find some stuff that sounds like the fragile's dark ambient beat but with a dash more drum n bass.

I tend to stick to the timeline between Fleetwood Mac and Tusk

Here's this week's.  I didn't sync my iPod this week, so it only recorded stuff I listened to while at my PC.

All I really listened to last week were various Kinks albums, namely Arthur and Lola versus Powerman.  Oh and I listened to Iggy Pop's The Idiot as I drove around today.

Not entirely sure I like what they did with some of the songs in this re-release. Plus its missing Parkdale, which is a crime.

Pretty much a greatest hits album with a few remixes thrown in for good measure.

Less emo than the first album, and I can totally get behind that!

First album is still my favorite but this is in my car CD player and oh so lazy.
