I have like three of these dervatives installed on my PC and they are all fun to play. I love Q3 gameplay to this day.

Frag, What three derivatives do you have? It's Warsow, OA, and Nexuiz for me.

I like Nexuiz a lot, which is weird because it is probably the worst of the three.

Nexuiz is indeed the worst of the three. I used to play a LOT of Warsow (Thanks Tre!) at work. Can't connect to any servers now which sucks. They don't even show up when searching for a server. I can't connect to irc anymore either

It says "Software caused connection abort (dns pool) when connecting to an irc server. WTF does that mean

BTW, All three of the derivatives have new versions out, warsow also has a new version out. I have not updated to it yet.

It was ok. No one else was playing online (or maybe I didn't have it set up right). But, it actually reminded me of UT4 deathmatch, which is a good thing.

Got bored of playing bots after about 30 minutes.

Try warsow, there are usually a lot more people playing it.

EDIT: Did you change the tab that says "local" up at the top of the screen to "internet"?
