PHOENIX - People here expect it to be hot, but they sure wouldn't mind a cool spell. You know, maybe 107 or so.

Phoenix reached a shoe-melting, spirit-crushing milestone Wednesday: 29 days of temperatures 110 degrees or higher in a single year. The previous record of 28 days was set in 1970 and matched in 2002, according to the National Weather Service.

The streak is enough to vaporize any humor left in the phrase "It's a dry heat." The average number of days 110 or higher in a given year is 10.

GLOBAL WARMING DOESNT EXIST RITE LOL

90 is pretty livable.  100 and above is hell.  I only went to a 110 area once in my life for a few days and I could barely shit.  like seriously, you're not sure what side it's going to come out.

My mom lived in Arizona for like a year and a half before I was born and LOVED it. She sunbathes like there's no such thing as skin cancer, and Yuma, where she lived, is the sunniest city in the United States. Perfect for her but I'd fucking die out there.

Bring on the snow for me, please!

Does she really want to see 3:10 to Yuma?  I probably would want to see a movie if the title related to my hometown or something.

Well it wasn't her hometown, she just lived there with her friend (my godmother) and her friend's husband until she got knocked up, left the guy, and came home to PA.

I don't know what 3:10 to Yuma is but she might wanna see it. I'll have to ask her next time I talk to her.

New western film (actually, remake of an older film of the same title) with Christian Bale and Russell Crowe.
