- Mobile Ops: The One Year War

That's a fuckin' riot. We've heard nothing about the game for over a year now... don't get your hopes up.

As for me:

PS2:
Another Century's Episode 3: The Final (JP)
Power Pros MLB

PS3:
Folklore
Heavenly Sword
Ratchet and Clank Future
Uncharted

DS:
Final Fantasy XII RW
Zelda: Phantom Hourglass
Dragon Quest Monsters Joker

Halo 3
POSSIBLY Burnout Paradise. I've bought the first four...might as well try out a next-gen, online version.

I think that's it for September.

Too much shit to list.  I think immediately next is the PSP Slim and FFVII Crisis Bore.

What's "Mobile Ops?"  The full title sounds like Gundam.

It was going to be an online battlefield-esque Gundam title for the 360... more than likely it was quietly canceled.

It was competing with Target In Sight - everyone was like "Whoa, look how great the PS3 Gundam game looks, and how shitty the 360 game looks! PS3 is going to own"

lol

I still can't believe all the idiots over at GAF who thought Target in Sight/Crossfire was going to be some amazing technical feat of a game. They obviously knew nothing of Bandai and their past Gundam games...

I do own Crossfire, but I have no problem admitting that it's one of the WORST games I've ever played.

Gundam games are really hit or miss.  It's a shame that the two best ones never came out in the US (Climax U.C. and The One Year War 0079).  :-\

I LOVE them both dearly, but if you have zero interest in Gundam, they're clunky titles.

In any event, I buy every Gundam game I can get my hands on, I don't think I'll ever recover from this illness.

It's basically what distantmantra said, it's a gundam game but you can play in gundams, on foot with a rocket launchers, and probably with other things.  the graphics they showed looked good (last time they showed it was about a year ago) and it looked a lot better than the PS3 gundam at the time because of the lighting, shadowing, and lush jungles.

most likely it's canceled if they haven't said anything about it, I think I heard it was supposed to come out last spring though.

there's too many games to list.  some that I can remember are Halo 3, mass effect, HL2: orange box, PGR4, VF5, maybe Skate, maybe DMC4, and a bunch of rentals.

for September dunno, I only have a mild interest in Halo 3 and Heavenly Sword

Eternal Sonata too but mostly because of the music

October-December is packed as hell though... I just learned that I wouldn't ever have courses on mondays for Fall 2007 so this extra free day in the week will come in handy to breeze through all these gems

I'm going to grab Stranglehold next week.  The demo didn't leave me super-impressed, but it was fun enough and I like the Max Payne model of shooters.  It's basically a total Max Payne clone and that's. . .okay.

Max Payne is so much better than Stranglehold.  I wish that Stranglehold had copied even more from Max Payne.  That would be really sad if Stranglehold is all that Max Payne fans are ever going to get in this gen.

All the SD Generation stuff for the PS2, and Gashapon Wars on the Gamecube. I don't have a Wii, so I don't have those games, either.

This is unrelated to Gundam games but I just got reminded that a friend once gave me a big Gundam head that he bought in Japan.  It looked really cool but why do people collect things like that?  What's the point of having just a robot head that you can't even play with?   :lol

I've seen those Gundam head statues before, and wondered the exact same thing...

I loaned a friend some money back in June and told him to just buy me MOH: Airborne as payback, so I have that game "in the bank" for next week.

Then Halo 3.

Then Cabela's Trophy Bucks*

Then, in October, The Orange Box.

I think Burnout Paradise is 2008.

I have Gamefly sending me RAIR so I can laugh at it. I'm planning on picking up Halo 3 and Heavenly Sword. And I think that's all for September.

Oh, Gameflying SKATE cause I liked the demo. And I took Strangehold off my list cause that demo was Tres Shitt.

Max Payne > Strangehold by a large margin.

World in Conflict on the 18th next month. The new Settlers game is also due out next month here in the US, but I'm seeing a $49.99 price tag, which is $10 more than I'm willing to pay for that game.

Other than that, September isn't very special for me.

Im sad to hear that Mobile Suit Gundam Ops might not come out :(

I thought it looked better than Target in sight (which I have and love BTW - the realism and detail is amazing to me at times - especially hand to hand combat moments)
