Even though I didn't like ACE1, I'm gonna buy ACE3 (and will probably pick up ACE2 sometime before that). Why? Well, I was at Yodobashi Camera the other day and they were playing video footage of the game on their HDTV setup and there was one cinematic that blew my mind.
Picture this: The end of Char's Counterattack. Amuro Ray, piloting the Nu Gundam, has destroyed Char Aznable's Sazabi, but has failed to stop the Axis colony asteroid from falling towards the Earth, which will destroy all human life on the planet. In a desperate attempt to steer the gigantic asteroid away from the Earth, Amuro uses his Nu Gundam to try to push it back. The psycho frame in his mobile suit resonates with his Newtype abilities and his strong desire to save humankind, and suddenly all the combatant mobile suits on the battlefield, both Federation and Zeon, rush to help him push the asteroid back.

FUCKING AWESOMEFrom Software has officially made me a giddy fanboy, and I will buy this game on DAY ONE.
