Pretty good conference -- funny to see all the iPhone freaks owned so hard so soon. $200 pricedrop was an awesome move.

I will probably look into picking up a refurbished 8gb iPhone or the 16gb iPod Touch. I've been on a 2gb nano for a year now so pretty much anything is an upgrade for me. I don't really care about being able to carry around my entire music collection.....seems like it'd be a hassle to search/shuffle through that much music, even using the iPod interface.

Not a very good deal when the refurbished 8gb iPhone is a mere $350. If they had refurbished 4GB phones for $250 though, then I'd snap it up.

I'd be wary with refubs though. A friend bought a video ipod or whatever there called these days. It had light blemishes, and minor scratches on it.

Well after this ghastly news today I have decided the following;

- no new apple purchases here
- my 8 GB iphone becomes my portable music player I keep in my pocket - its better than the ipod touch anyway.
- my 30 GB ipod becomes my portable music collection HDD. Go to a party and need to bring my collection? 30 GB ipod is it. Need to play music around the house using one of my many docking stations? 30 GB ipod is it.....
- I just sold my ceramic white JP PSP to a coworker today for $150
- next week I buy a new slim NTSC black PSP

ipod touch is 8 and 16 GB of storage....160 GB is for the new ipod classic....(non touch screen model)

The Touch, well, 16 gigs for 399 is ehhhh enough, but the thing is, I'm not sure if I'd go for one if they held 160 gigs. I like being able to manage my iPod when it's in my pocket, without having to look at it. I wouldn't even be able to skip songs with the Touch without pulling it out of my pocket to look at.

A touchscreen app on the Ipod touch could do the same thing, without the different feeling finger zone...you know that both the ipod, iphone and ipod touch support those headphone line remotes right?

Well im sure its just like the touch screen on the iphone - so it could easially differentiate between you sliding your finger around the wheel, and pressing on one of the 4 points to click.

Why would it be flawed? I am an iphone power user and the screen can handle it easially....

The 'remote' you mention that is on the line between the ipod and the headphones already exists.
