What do you guys think of Borderlands? (FPS + Diablo, done right?)

I just completely read the writeup on it in Game Informer and omg I'm so fucken hyped for it. It sounds like it takes that awesome dystopian, post nuclear environment and shoves a big ol' Diablo Horse Pill up its ass for gaming nutrience.

from what I've heard it's S.T.A.L.K.E.R. on consoles.

edit: plus apparently the weapons could be really unbalanced.

Gawd yes I'm excited for Borderlands.

@nintenho: The idea is to make your character as powerful as possible.

As was said by Pitchford himself:"So what if one of the alien guns is too powerful and makes the game unbalanced. Your goal is to find that gun."

I'm thinking the super high powered stuff (that would be possible to find) won't be available till the endgame (basically when your facing the enemies that would have such items).

I'm just trolling.  I don't think they'll make it so that you have a huge advantage.  It's not like oblivion where you start defeating every oblivion gate by just using 100% chameleon (I do it all the time).

Some new gameplay footage. 4 player co-op could be great. Hopefully we'll get to see more footage soon.
