Hyperbole aside I agree with you. They need to make a decision. If they want to become Americans and pay taxes like everyone else, fine. But this idea that they can illegally enter the country and then ignore all our procedures is ridiculous. There's nothing "racist" about that position.

We're never going to round up all the illegal individuals and kick them out the country; that would be nearly as fruitless as rounding up every gun from gun owners in this country. If they want to become legal citizens and pay their taxes, I say welcome them to the nation.

I completely agree.  

It's obvious that our own processes require some sort of reform, but that doesn't give anyone the right to completely disregard our current process and act like they deserve everything handed to them.  Fuck that.

Exactly. You don't sidestep the law when it's inconvienient for you; if I'm running late for class, I have no authority to run a red light or stop sign, and if I do I should suffer the consequences of my actions. It's a shame that they're allowed to take advantage of the system, and be taken advantage of by these disgusting corporations.

This won't be fixed overnight but sugarcoating the issue to retain votes is not helping at all. The corporations need to be dealt with, but of course that's unlikely due to the lobbying influence they have with both parties. A "wall" doesn't send the right message, but beefing up border security can still be done.

and for everybody that's off topic, this is the PRESIDENT.  The point of this thread is that even the government doesn't want to be in the country.  most mexicans probably would prefer where they live in america any day since there's a lot of places where they can keep their culture (minus cockfighting).

Ron Paul love always brings about mixed emotions for me. On one hand I agree with many of his positions, yet it seems like he takes conservatism to literally. He's as close to a pacifist there is in modern politics. I love that he's a realist with respect to Iraq and terrorism though
