Ever since the "Bourne" movies have come on the scene, the makers of James Bond have been in the line of fire for having a dusty, lethargic spy on their hands -- "Casino Royale" notwithstanding.

But it looks like EON Prods., Columbia Pictures and MGM might be kicking it up a notch for the next Bond film.

Taking a page from the "If you can't beat 'em, join 'em" handbook, the production has hired "Bourne Supremacy" and "Bourne Ultimatum" action designer Dan Bradley as the film's second unit director.

Bradley plotted out and directed the acclaimed fight sequences and car chases as the stunt coordinator and second unit director of the two Paul Greengrass-helmed "Bourne" sequels and will service the working-titled "Bond 22" in much the same capacity. The producers want him to continue and build on the more realistic and gritty approach to the veteran British spy begun in last year's "Casino Royale."

While no date has been set, "Bond 22" is eyeing a start date in the winter.

Not gonna happen, and thank god. Let Bourne be its own thing, and let Bond be its own thing. We have far too few spy movies being made these days, so there is no reason why the 2 franchises we have to be similar. Bourne can have its gritty realism, and Bond can have its also gritty, but no-so-realism.

bourne > bond

That goes without saying. While most of the fight scenes in Casino Royale were boring to adequate, they were all shot beautifully. Adding the Bourne action flair with a steadier camera seems like a great idea to me.

If it goes without saying why was Casino Royale better received by critics and made more money? :shh

Cheebs isn't comfortable around black people. He justifies this through a more political version of white guilt: supporting affirmative action, voting for Obama, etc. In reality he simply doesn't want to meet me or any other black person.

I'm still in the accounting class btw, and the teacher is awesome lol. He's fat and takes big breaths when he gets too excited, which happens a lot. And he sweats a LOT. But he's layed back and cool

I think he's just not comfortable with the idea of hanging around you.  He's PM'ed me shit about how you've threatened to call his parents and whatnot.  He might be lying, but I have a feeling you are socially distinguished mentally-challenged enough to have done just that.  Add this to the continual failures of your "meetups" (how'd that meetup for PotC3 go? lawwwwl), and we can come to the conclusion that people don't want to be near you because of how you come off in the forums.

He never threatened to that sounds a bit too harsh, but he had it as black mail if I ever tried anything stupid, yeah. But the whole thing was null and void once I found his parents one anyway for my own security. He also said after the whole PD/Cheebs original fight mess when I was pming you he wasn't going to ever do it, he said he would call just to scare me which worked lol. BUT BACK ON TOPIC.

JAMES BOND 22. :bow

spoiler (click to show/hide)
And yes his forum attitude and his weird obsession with meeting me scared me far more than his race lol

Blackmail sounds less harsh than threaten?  :lol

Let's face it, Gay Boy, you are going to end up getting raped by a black man named Maurice.  Better start lubing up now so it doesn't hurt too much.  :'(

This can spell only even more good things for the next Bond movie.

I don't blame the people who like Bourne more than bond. Outside of Casino Royale, the latest Bond installments haven't been that great. Lord knows Die Another Day was a piece of putrid dog shit. The Bourne Identity wiped it's ass all over that.

You're crazy! Die Another Day was like watching a fiery bus crash - although nauseating and in poor taste, it was deeply entertaining.  You had a dude with diamonds in his face, Bond surfboarding, giant lasers, some kind of cybernetic super villain with awful one-liners ("Look parachutes for the both of us! Whoops! Not anymore!"), hot chicks that can't act and a very aging Pierce Brosnan.  It was like a Troma Bond film.

The question is now wtf was Craig rambling about when he said this movie would be like a Roger Moore bond film and basically be a comedy?  :lol

Paul Haggis said a few weeks ago it will be more "gritty" than Casino Royale and now they are hiring people from the Bourne films and the director is a pretty serious real director. Sometimes I wonder if Daniel Craig likes to fuck with the media (as in his gay bond idea before Casino Royale came out as well).

Craig is just dicking around, which makes me love him more. He knows that, being the actor playing Bond, anything he says will get press.
