Lair is the first real "proof of PS3 concept" game IMO, power of cell, advantage of BR, 7.1 sound etc... all the things that seperates the PS3 from the competition. As sonyfans have been blathering on about for a while "This is Kutaragi's game..."
and if ever a game was a fitting analogy for the PS3, this hulking great brown turd is it. Hyped to the moon and back by sonyfans (who now claim they didn't expect it to be any good anyways and that year or so of going on about how great it was going to be didn't actually happen),
Yeah, it's really funny how the sonyfans claim that it's trolling to call Lair a disappointment because they knew all along that it was going to suck. Nevermind that it was on the list just a month ago alongside KZ2, HS, Uncharted, Ratchet, etc of games that were so awesome, only because of the power of the PS3.
The best thing about Lair is that hopefully developers would give up on making Sixaxis an integral part of PS3 games. Shaking the controller, ala NG:Sigma and Resistance, does nothing to add to the experience either. Just admit Sixaxis was a failure and give us back rumble.
Anyway, it's time for this pic again.
