8 hours into the game and I still only have heero and amuro completed. I've almost completed zechs campaign, but jeeeeesus I cant imagine getting all the achievements. I can barely do half a campaign before my hands cramped up from those one on one battle fights. I mean I just finished a mission where I took on 4 hero gundams at once. OUCH CRAMP OUCH.

Haha, I dunno, none of the DW games seemed this taxing. I think it has to do with the trigger use being a bit more intense in the gundam version. Im on the 360 version tho, but even so the EMPIRE games never cause this much of a problem lol.

One of its nicknames in the actual show is "White Moustache." So, yeah.

I love the design, though! It's by Syd Mead (he did a lot of the mechanical designs in the first couple of Alien movies and Blade Runner).

It's just great real robot military anime, and the best part is that you don't need to have seen any other Gundam show to understand it. My favorite Gundam shows are 08th MS Team, G Gundam ('cuz it's so crazy), and Turn A.

I'm looking at the sales page thinking what else to pick up - the Big O DVD sets are less than $35 each...$70 total, and then with a 40% discount...wow, cheap.

It ends on Sunday, Sept. 9th. Don't worry though, they do these sales a few times a year, each time focusing on a different company (Media Blasters, AD Vision, etc) so you'll get another chance in a few months.

ZZ Gundam, V Gundam and Turn A Gundam were recently released in remastered box sets in Japan, so Bandai really has no excuse (except for the excuse of Gundam not selling that well in the States, lol).

SEED was ok, SEED Destiny was poo tard. Did they have some write in from fans a few eps in to bring in the old SEED cast and shit all over the new characters?

The series wasn't planned out very well, and as I understand it, they had no structure in mind when they started doing it. I've actually never seen Seed or Seed Destiny 'cuz the mechas are so uninteresting to me, but the Kira Yamato character has a HUGE, HUGE fanbase in Japan, almost as big as Char, and bigger than Amuro. So I think that's why he was brought back even though the series was supposed to have a new protagonist/perspective.

Umm, you probably have some of these, but here are all the non-Gundam Bandai shows I own: Cowboy Bebop, Planetes, Scrapped Princess, Crest of the Stars, Banner of the Stars I, Banner of the Stars II, Wolf's Rain, Fantastic Children, Overman King Gainer, Blue Submarine No. 6.

I like SEED a lot, actually. I thought it was a nice revamp of the Gundam story.

As for Destiny, it started off well enough, but them meandered into "let's redo SEED, because people love it!" territory. The director's wife was one of the main writers, and they basically fucked things up.

I own the ones I bolded, and I picked up Gainer and Planetes during the last sale (it was delivered to me back home in PR, though, so I won't be able to see it till I go home for the holidays). I would pick up the ...of the Stars series except they're missing Banner of the Stars I, which appears to be sold out. Some of the other stuff, like Scrapped Princess, isn't available in box set form and a show has to be really outstanding for me to buy individual discs...

EDIT: Seed may be good, but the mecha all look like shit.
