stranglehold = rental of the month
« on: September 11, 2007, 01:23:27 PM »
do not buy this game.   i've only played the first two levels but so far it's basically a more fleshed out version of the demo.  the first boss fight was not challenging AT ALL.  (go into tequila time and shotgun his face until he's dead).  the second level is some bullshit "destroy the drug station (x) amount of times".  level design is such crap -- i actually got stuck a few times.

best part of the game is the precision aim (zoom in on an enemy and fire a single bullet on any of his body parts).  some of the new environments look okay, but it doesn't even feel like an unreal engine 3 game.  glad i rented this turd, you should do the same if you have any interest in it.

waiting for this to hit $10 on the PC in ten or so months, then it'll be a guilty pleasure game since I can't get a real Max Payne sequel to play

I'm gonna trade MOH Airborne for this. You are playing on Normal, nub. I plan on playing on Hard, since the difficulty achievements are stackable.

It's only 38 right now at CC.  Huge bargain compared to 60 for the console versions.

yea i was thinking about playing it on hard, but i'd probably never get through it due to frustration.  the game has some of the worst aiming EVER in a 3rd person shooter.

Frag, are you one of those people that complain that Max Payne 2 wasn't a real sequel?
