I might have to buy a sports game for the first time in a while

For all intents and purposes, I haven't been a sports gamer since the days of the Dreamcast. Back then, I was all over the 2K series games, loving every minute of the insane graphics. When I first got NFL2K and NBA2K, I couldn't believe my eyes. And the following installments allowed online play...on 56k! It was awesome.

Now, my favorite sport in real life is baseball, but I've never loved videogame baseball as much as videogame HOCKEY. Hockey just lends itself to virtual awesomeness. And with the praise NHL 08 has been getting, I might just have to pick it up. I doubt anyone else on this entire board is going to get it, but I needed to let it be known, if anyone cares to play me on XBL.

Yea, I realized that after I wrote this.

Unfortunately, my TV is lent out to my parents' living room at the moment, so I let my buddy borrow my 360 for a little while. (Trying to get him to buy one ASAP)

And fuck Madden. I've always enjoyed football games the LEAST out of sports games. Outside of soccer games, of course.

soccer games are actually a LOT more competitive than football games.  football gets really boring since it's the same thing over and over again but if you know how to play soccer and you play against a good player it can be really fun.
