I have a TV. A Sony Wega to be exact. But alas, I just don't watch it a lot. I don't have a DVD player for it, but I do have a smaller TV that has a DVD player built into it. And another sucky thing about the Wega is that it's missing channels. I get channels 1-28, but then it skips to 65-95. So I'm missing TNT, AMC, FX, Comedy Central, Cartoon Network, Spike, MTV, etc. My smaller TV gets all those channels.

I need to call Comcast and see what's going on. Also I'm going to take the Wega and connect it in another room and see if it gets the channels there.

We just got a DVR this year and I fuckin' LOVE it. No more being a slave to broadcast times, I can watch what I wanna watch when I wanna watch it! I also bought a Lite-On DVD recorder that's a little on the cheap side but it still does the trick. My big time geek passion is making DVDs of all my favorite shows, whadda dork I know

So the shit I can't live without is:

The Wire
The Office
The Minor Accomplishments of Jackie Woodward (a new sitcom on IFC from the twisted mind of Jackie Klightlinger - it's like Entourage if it featured women and was even remotely realistic)
Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations
MythBusters
Ham on the Street
The Soup
Dexter (so far I like it)
Project Runway (I know, I'm gay)

I will watch 24 because my girl likes it, but if it was up to me I'd never watch that shitty show again. Same goes for My Name is Earl - that show is REALLY overrated, although it can be funny at times.

I've started watching Heroes, Smith and Jericho and of the three, I like Heroes the best (it's nice to see Jim Profit (Adrian Pasdar) on a series I would watch again, fuck a Judging Amy). Smith has an interesting story and Virgin Madsen's tig 'ol bitties but the acting, music and plot contrivances are not exactly my cup of tea. Same goes for Jericho - great story, ruined by the fact that it is on CBS. If there's another shoot out and metal starts playing, I'm fucking DONE.
