i'm probably the only 'bore head who's gonna buy this. anyone else picking this up tomorrow? if so, post impressions here along with videos, photos, etc. i'll start out with a couple reviews.

hey saintC, skate is the perfect game for custom soundtracks. playing it with hiphop instrumentals is a match made in heaven.

i just copped "reanimator: music to slit wrists by" and that shit gave me goosebumps while playing.

the full game is excellent, the world is HUGE and it's easy to get caught up in the many different locations you can skate on. at the same time, it's also very good for playing in short spurts and coming back to just to chill out and max. i say get it so we can freeskate and hang out!

I don't like the way Spot Battle is set up. Not being able to set up my own lines is lame and you don't have a whole lot of time to do anything.

I'm not sure what aspect of the game you are talking about getting harder? If it's getting through the videos, you can hold off until you unlock X-Games. It's much easier to complete the videos in there using the big ramp as a starting point.

I hear ya. I used the first jump of the big air to get the points up. Then I would just powerslide before the second ramp, and then hurry up and skate over to the park area to do some the manual flip grind manual (whatever the combo was for the video) tricks.

I still have a few vids to go (burned myself out playing online), but besides pools there is a section of stairs by the art galllery (IIRC)that are great for the lond grind combo vids. They have a lot of flat sections to manual out for the linked tricks. Other than that the long hill in front of LL's skateshop has a median on it that makes for easy long grind combos.
