What's amazing is the sheer number of absolutely HUGE people there are anymore. When I was growing up, it was rare to see anyone at 300 lbs or better. Now, you can't go into a Walmart or Golden Corral without seeing a herd of people that big.
It's really crazy. I've got a friend who is around 140 lbs and she said she didn't feel big until she left the US and saw how small most people are. It's an epidemic for sure, I'm not one to blame but the biggest problem is fast food.
That sirloin burger at Jack in the Box is $6, fills even me up, and is advertised on tv at every commercial break. It's delicious too. And the burger itself is 1100 calories. The large meal with fries and a coke checks in at over 2000 total calories. That is INSANE, and a big problem. I think the average person knows fast food isn't good for them. I also think they would be shocked if they found out just how bad it is for them, however.
