"IF IT'S JAPANESE IT MUST BE GOOD."

Fortunatly, I do have some standards when it comes to anime.  Not many, but some.

It comes with the Shake seal of approval, Willco. Much better than Superman Returns or Miami Vice...

I picked up V for Vendetta Special Edition and B&B 3

I like how V for Vendetta actually has a SPECIAL EDITION, and not a regular edition labeled as SPECIAL EDITION. Then there's the collectors edition.

only this seems interesting

do Paramount plan to release all of Beavis and Butthead on DVD, minus the music videos?

Wise choices, MAF.

So how's the Special Edition hold up?

No. Basically Mike Judge said, "there's a lot of good B&B eps, but about a third of them suck, I dont want those in a set." So they made the Mike Judge selection, which are what he deems to be 'the good eps'.

Obviously its all relative. Whiteman for example asserts that all the sets are missing some key eps, but I think this is one of the best ways to get your B&B fix. You still end up getting about 36 music videos through the entire collection, the videos in the third set being some of the best. The Taint of Greatness 3 part documentary concludes in the third set and I must say its one of the most entertaining documentaries ever.

You get a lot of the special seasonal shorts, the original B&B pilot, frog baseball, I mean there's a lot here. The first set of the collection is honestly a little half assed. The second and third sets have hilarious menus, and also include the commercial time splash image and david spade saying something witty between eps, which is a great touch.

I heartily recommend the 3 sets, well worth the 90 dollars total. If you want to make it an even 100 I would recommend the movie Beavis and Butthead Do America. Its still one of the best 'episodes' ever and its like 10 bux most places.

only have the first set which I brievely viewed, and I was surprised at the very neat picture quality that it had, the video tapes MTV had really have been restored to perfection

I'm happy to know that there's a load of music videos included, it's some of the most hilarious stuff I've ever seen and it's hard to make me laugh, watching these two idiots whine about artists that also act like idiots on a screen is the most hilarious thing ever

it's like, what many of us thought when watching these superstars do a lot of insignificant pop songs, there's so much brilliant social criticism in that series lol

We're lucky to get as many videos as we have cause it costs money to put them on the screen again. Lots im sure.

V is up there... there have been some good films this year... I would have to say V's my film of the year as well so far, even though Clerks 2 comes a close second.

This year has been pretty decent I felt. Casino Royale, The Prestige, & The Fountain in the fall will make this a great year.
