Well my computer has finally been fixed, so I'm officially back. It's quite impressive that I went so long without immediate access to a computer or the internet. Yet my time was well spent considering I was able to do something I don't usually do:
watch TV. I probably watched more television in a month than I did the rest of this year. During this time I gained understanding of a wide variety of intellectual revalations
1. Horatio Caine is the thinking man's Jack BauerBefore my computer-less crusade I had never seen any CSI shows. Yet when you're sitting on the couch around 5pm on a weekday it's not hard to discover CSI: Miami. More importantly I was introduced to Horatio Caine, clearly the greatest detective known to the entertainment medium. He's the ultimate creation for a lazy TV writer: here you have a man who allows writers to skip any type of detective process in crime solving, and instead just tell the viewer exactly what's going on.

"Looks like we'll have to take these back to the lab. I've never seen epithelial samples like this"

"Don't waste your time. It's not epithelial - it's cosmic dust from the surface of the moon. Looks like our killer is financed by the Chinese"
2. Sarah Silverman is the funniest jew since Sammie Davis Jr.Much of my TV time was spent watching Comedy Central, and Sarah made it oh so worthwhile. Her show is hilariously offensive, from the humor to the bad acting. I also saw Jesus is Magic; great standup, horrible musical skits. Please stop singing Sarah, you aren't Wayne Brady :'(
3. Family Guy is hit/missYes I said it. It's not a bad show; in fact it's hilarious at times. But holy shit it's SO hit and miss. The various skits can go from good to utterly braindead, and it's not hard to sense when one is coming up. Oh, this thread is almost as bad as the time I fingered Freddy in the back of OJ's Bronco...
4. PAM PAM PAM
TBS is showing two episodes of The Office in a row, each Tuesday. This show is hilarious, and as usual I'm so fucking late. My brother said Pam is plain, but I think she's hot in a worldly-curious repressed Christian woman type way.
5. Support your day time fantasy soap operas dammit
About 60% of EB is unemployed so you guys have no excuse not to watch day time soaps. I must suggest Passions, which is arguably the best show on television. C'mon, how can you deny THIS

I also began watching Southpark (omg funny) and Mad Men. Southpark is hilarious, and Mad Men is one of my favorite shows now! I love the writing, and the period piece setting is great. It's on AMC so watch it dammit
