Sealed Game Heaven

I saw this on one of the gaming blogs

http://www.joystiq.com/2007/09/16/sealed-game-collectors-hoarding-all-the-cool-toys/

Here's a choice quote.

"I think sealed collecting is more than an investment. A game which you played more than 40 hours for example is a part of your life. You can remember those days if anyone announce the name of the game. And if you get a sealed copy of this game you can remember those days every time you pass it  :)!

What is your philosophy of sealed collecting? More than an simple investment?"

If you are a collector that's fine.  I'm one too.  But this seems a bit much.

I dunno, I like playing my games.

Ask sonarrat, I think he collects sealed games to resell.

Buying to sell sealed games is fine and dandy.  You might make a profit.  But just having sealed games to collect feels like overkill.

I'm a collector in that I love having a lot of games and I almost never trade in or get rid of stuff...but I don't keep stuff sealed.  These things were made to be played, and since I have no intention of reselling them, I am not going to go nuts keeping them in "mint" condition.

I'm the same way. I buy way more than I'm able to play and never sell/trade 99.5% of what I own. But, I love having them.
