My PAL Wii needs to be able to play Japanese games by December 6th

yeah fuck Im shitting bricks here, I need to play No More Heroes as soon as it comes out you see... I even made a thread at the Gaming Age Forum and stuff. Im not really that keen to chip my Wii in case some firmware turns up and makes it explode and shit. Looks like Im gonna have to wait for the PAL release which may not even happen

NMH probably would release first in japan since it's a japanese game.  But it probably wouldn't have an english option.

Yep It gets released in Japan on the 6th of December, the dialogue is in English with Japanese subtitles, which Is why Im so keen to import. I'll know enough Japanese to make sense of the menu screens and shit

well.... Im not in Japan. To play it means forking out money for a Japanese Wii off Play Asia, then I will have two Wiis. I would rather put that money towards a 360

oh, I thought you'd be in japan at the time it comes out.  nintendo already has been cracking down on modchips and that link I posted is pretty old.  I heard the gamecube region free disk thing that you put in before playing international games works on Wii but I don't know if it works with Wii games.

Shuri, even if he does mod it, he still can't play any good games anyway, so why bother?
