Question about Toys R'US deal
« on: September 19, 2007, 08:06:44 PM »
Does anyone know if you can get 3 games this week and then exchange one of them for Halo 3 next week?  I called a guy there and he said I can exchange anything as long as it's sealed.  He wasn't clear if the same prices would still apply though.

I think they put a stop to that.

 :(

I can't think of two more games to add to Blue Dragon.  Can you guys recommend any?  Eternal Sonata was on my list until TVC said it was animu crap.  Skate has been getting great reviews but I don't really dig skateboarding games.  I wouldn't mind getting Warhawk if not for the fact that TF2 is coming out soon.  With the stuff going on at school, I simply don't have time for more than 1 multiplayer game.

They're supposed to be more aware of that little scheme now, but of course, YMMV.  Going off the word of a low tier employee really doesn't guarantee anything though, so I would be wary.

If you're really intent on trying it, you could probably buy two games you wouldn't particularly mind owning (but could do without) and a third to trade, not open them, and if they aren't down with the Halo exchange, return them all and go to Seven Eleven to buy Halo.

I'm pretty sure you can still pre-order at a gamestop.

I'd actually recommend skate.  I don't like skateboarding games but I thought it was fun.

Good idea.  There's really no console game that I need to play this week.

Was VP2 the free game? Isn't it a better deal if you get a 3rd game that costs as much as the first two?  Let me know what you think of Skate.  I'll just play Stranglehold on my PC.

There's nothing else I wanted that cost $60.

Stuntman?  It's a C game but some aspects of it seem fun.  Also, you can't get achievements w/ VP2.

Don't care for Stuntman, VP2 was on my list.
