is Uncharted the PS3's savior this fall?

or are PS3tards just hyping this shit up again?  with the mixed reviews of heavenly sword and the shitstorm known as lair, could uncharted be the killer exclusive app i've been waiting for this fall/winter?  personally, i think i may end up liking folklore or some obscure PSN title more so than uncharted, but that's just me and my wacky taste.

would you consider any of the above titles system sellers or killer apps?  also, can someone please enlighten me about the greatness of uncharted, what am i missing other than it looks like a great action game with gears of war style combat?  real talk.

I think Uncharted will be a AAA title (AAA= around 90% on gamerankings).  I don't think it's a system seller though.  It's the type of game that would sell well to system owners but not the type that would get people to buy PS3s.  Same thing with R&C.  UT3 is not gonig to be a system seller for the PS3 either because it's coming on the 360 and PC. 

MGS4 will most likely be the title that will bring in a new wave of PS3 owners.  Too bad, it's not coming out this year to contend for this year's GOTY.

I think it looks great, but I am not sold on it.  Naughty Dog has been out of the AAA game biz for a while now, not even argubly being in that arena since the first Jak game.  The few gameplay videos I have seen of Uncharted also feature janky-looking shooting, like some relative of Stranglehold with environments with less shit to play with but better visuals overall.

The game looks good, but based on past history, it's not something to bet the farm on.

how did MGS3 do?  i wonder because i don't recall the sales of that game being as high as the previous iterations.  this makes me doubt if even the almighty MGS series can be a system seller at this point.  personally, i'm going with the next final fantasy.... it's always the title that brings 'em back to the fold.  as for uncharted and ps3tards, it sounds like they're suffering from a case of xbot syndrome -- hop from game to game, hype to hype, bragging about any and all exclusives that are not available elsewhere.  it's hard not to get caught up in the b.s., they actually got me thinking that uncharted is on some next shit.  guess i'll have to find out for myself -- from the videos and screenshots, i can't see what all the fuss is about.

I sure hope so.  However, everytime I see a gameplay video, i actually get less excited about it.  We'll see though.  They actually haven't shown THAT much of it.

i was wondering the same thing.  why are people touting Naughty Dog as some world class developer?  sure, the early crash games were fun, but far from AAA.  jak was also a good B to B+ game, but nothing i'd consider in the same class ass FF, MGS or gran turismo.

The better question is whether or not Uncharted can live up to being a Tomb Raider killer, which is still up in the air IMO.
