Actually, some of the art on the case veers towards creepy. Like there is this chick that has the head and limb proportions of a midget.

yeah, it's satoshi urushihara, who was a big hentai manga duder in japan. he's got a serious loli thing, too. i had a friend in college who was a huge fan of his, and he had me sit through most of "plastic little" which was the dullest and most inane space animu ever to feature generically animated huge loli teats. same for "legend of lemnear," which i credit for making me realize that anime just wasn't KOOL KARTOONS FROM JAPAN but also a signficant component of the sexuality of some very very sad folks.

i liked some of his langrisser character designs, but this (growlanser) does nothing for me.

hate the character designs, story, and all o dat.

i'm starting to regret my purchase. the battles can be confusing because of the conditions. I fucking saved that wounded soldier. how did the mission fail?

eternal sonata may be hallmark-style precious to a fault, but it has solid gameplay and mechanics backing it. growlanser is wretched animu wed to one of the worst real-time party combat engines EVER, right down to the confused camera and cumbersome menus. STAY AWAY.

how on EARTH did you enjoy 2&3? seriously. i tried and i tried, but the 320x240 8-bit color upscaled UGLY plus the shallow character development mechanics plus the godawful interface ruined everything for me. did i mention: UGLY?

i don't care about graphics that much, either: after all, i loved the disgaea games. however, there's lo-fi pretty and lo-fi buttfucking himu's sister ugly, and growlanser 2&3 are definitely in the latter category. ew!
