It is a clip from 'The Aristocrats' the movie's concept, which I'm vaguely familiar with.. I haven't seen it, being they tell the one joke over and over, and I suppose that's the joke transposed into the S-P world.

it was a fucking documentary, toolshed. it gave a lot of insight into the culture of professional comedy and the various angles at which comedians approach a common theme. it wasn't so much hilarious as it was largely fascinating for those interested in the culture of modern comedy. also, i'd let bob saget perform at my daughter's fourth birthday.

that was the POINT of the movie. the movie was not made to make you lol. it was made for you to ride along as modern top comics explored an aspect of transgressive comedy. if you lol'd, it was a side benefit.

Like I said, I just expected it to be funny. And it wasnt so my expectations weren't met. I really dont find it interesting watching comedians talk about the same joke for 90 minutes. I guess if they wanted to make a film about comedy technique at least TRY to make it funny and not tedious. Seriously, how many times does it take hearing about feces, dead people and animals all fucking before it just isnt funny.

Its a known fact that lots of Comedians are usually mellow people off the stage and are, shockingly enough, reserved and not as over the top as they would be on stage.

wow, you missed all of the analysis as you waited for the big gag -- the movie duped you as effectively as the joke dupes audiences, using its structure. do you learn ANYTHING about film? there were discussions of gender issues and comedic styles, subversions of the structure, and the use of the joke as a sort of resume among comic culture. on top of that, the evolving structure of the film described the evolving nature of the "joke" as a piece of comic history, and how it represents the transgressive nature of comedy in different decades. the aristrocrats joke has no big payout; it is itself a discussion of transgressive comedy and individual approaches -- LIKE THE MOVIE. pay fucking attention for once instead of waiting for gross stimulation that will never come.

You know how ridiculous this sounds? Most festival forms dont even ask where you went to school. SO Im not sure how that helps. Film is a collaborative medium but there is an auteur. What you are saying is if someone enjoyes success on multiple pieces of art its not them its everyone else. You're just making yourself sound stupid.
