Why would you want that? The xmb is already too bloated and takes up too much ram. I like the multimedia capabilities of my PS3 but gaming performance is far more important to me. They need to beef their development tools so that I don't have to buy every multiplatform game for my 360.

by beef up i meant streamline the interface and add more features. the way it is now everything feels disconnected and unintuitive. it'd be nice to have shortcuts or button presses for quicker access to essential functions.

Their fall lineup is so awesome, they don't need it. Home+GTA4 will push PS3 to the stratosphere next Spring.

Home won't sell systems, GTA4 will do that, "IF" the ps3 is more cheaper.
i can see gta 4 360 only, listed in NPD software sales.

They need to impliment and user test/develop core online features before they worry about launching or fleshing out Home.

wollan doesn't even annoy me to be honest. he's a really big sony fan, but kittonwy is on a whole new level. he has a ps3 and 360, but he lost interest in dmc4 when it was announced for the 360 and he says lots of other creepy stuff like how he's the leader of the sony fanboys. he's just a really creepy dude and keeps using those fucking emoticons at the end of every post. i just put him ignore.

Kittonwy is fucking distinguished mentally-challenged. Supposedly, he's only been playing the PS3 since it came out. He said that the last 360 game he played was Gears of War. That's pretty sad when you would buy another console just to justify your fanboy beliefs that your "system of choice" is the best. I ripped him apart one time but now he's smart enough to avoid all my baits. What a coward.

GAF is the definition of hypocripsy. Why can you make a thread about how 4 discs is needed for a 360 game and not a thread about how Heavenly Sword is only 6 hours long even though it came on a Blu-Ray? It was very revealing when Evilore chose to clamp down on "groupthink" because a PS3 developer was banned for making an unsubstantiated comment about a 360 game, which is a troll according to their TOS.

I don't think XMB could be more streamlined. I mean, can you get more minimal than that?

I rag on Sony a lot, but I like XMB. Sony is trying to take the initiative to make the interface in all of its devices the same. This is not just PS3 and PSP. Their new TVs use the XMB interface, and I believe some of their cameras do, too. So do their newer cell phones. We all know how important brand recognition is, but interface recognition should be even more important, and I applaud sony for making steps towards providing a unified, logical interface.

It's got its quirks--I'm not sure XMB is the most logical possible layout for general electronics, but it's pretty logical. They hit close to the mark.

So naturally, just like with Blu-Ray, Playstation is their XMB flagship. Playstation 3 isn't just a product, it's a demonstration of a souple things Sony would like to do over the next few years. I think that is neat.

I think they started with the XMB in their Bravia TVs, then that huge PSX then the PSP and now the PS3.

MS dashboard is great, but i think they will use the HDI interface they are using now with HD-DVD for their next Xbox.
