So I just finished watching S3 of Deadwood....

Talk about blue balls.  I realize that they were loosely basing it off of real historical figures and events but they could've taken some freaking' creative liberties here and at least given us some kind of pay off.  It was like getting all dressed up for the dance and then staying home to watch Simon & Simon reruns. Jesus Christ, I can't believe that was the way they ended it.  All the pieces were in place to have an absolutely AMAZING climax.....ugh.  Fucking disappointing.

They still are planning on doing movies, right?

Actually, that line always sounded like bullshit to me.  John From Cincinatti is thankfully dead, but they already gave duder a new show to work on.  Them Deadwood movies are never happening.

Deadwood movies have all but been confirmed as never happening.  I can't believe that fucker jumped ship on Deadwood to make that POS John from Cincinatti.

After that episode, honestly I wouldn't want to see a Deadwood movie.  I mean they knew this was going to be the last season of the series during the entire production of S3 and this is how they ended it?  I'd imagine the movie (if there ever was one) would be a colossal fuck up.

When it was announced as ending, they were really high on the idea of using movies to wrap things up.  I believe the number cited was 4 movies.  So they probably figured they could fix things later.  Now, though, even just a bit more than a year later, it would be impossible to get anything resembling that cast back together.
