Yeah, it's too bad there aren't more people like him over there at GAF.  The hardcore 360 people like Ghaleon, m0rphix, and up until recently Speevy are too freakin' swarmy for my tastes.  Everytime they post it feels like they're trying to sell me a used car.  They don't seem very genuine or knowledgable about anything videogame related outside of the Xbox.  The hardcore PS3 fans are absolutely fucking caustic and way too out of control for me to even begin to relate to.  Everything is a conspiracy, people writing insane blogs, and Shane, a guy that sounds like another PR mouth piece, is their born again leader.  Just way too creepy.  And the Nintendo guys.....well they're still the same nut jobs they've always been.  Seriously discussing if angry Mario could beat up some other cartoon character or masturbating over a sales chart.....that's just not for me.

It's like there's almost no happy medium over there.

WTF's up with Speevy?  Is he trying to be a joke character?  Now instead of defending the Xbox, all he does is make ridiculously optimistic predictions about the PS3's future.  

The Nintendo/Xbox fans annoy me pretty much for the same reasons that you mentioned.  They're just too over the top fanboyish.  OTOH, the Sony fans annoy me because they always pretend to be unbiased gamers even though it's obvious that they really only care about Sony hardware and games.  Guys like Altogetherandrews, Bebpo, and dozens more Sony fans seemingly buy non-Sony hardware just to talk about how much superior their Sony sytems are.  They're never enthusiastic about any game that is non-exclusive to Sony yet they would angrily talk about how they own a 360 or WII if someone calls them a Sony fanboy.  The Ninthings and Xbots at least own up to what they are.

Well Speevy bought a PS3 and saw the light evidently.  I don't think he posts there anymore since they banned him over that incident about his mom having cancer.   That was really fucked up imo.

That's him alright.  Ferricide and I played Phantasy Star Universe with him until we all decided the game sucked butt grapes.  He was cool to play with, but a total turd when it came to setting the game to divy up items collected.  He didn't want to share items and wanted old school PSO each man/she-bot for himself.  He'll play 360 games on debugs and such at work without logging into his gamertag, but yeah PSU was the last game he really played on 360.
