A question for Frag:What does the Guild play like? Mystery total.
I assume you are referring to Europa 1400: The Guild, which is an interesting mix of management simulation with some RPG elements. It's a smart, deep game with some very interesting political/economic mechanics and is worth the four or six bucks it is selling for at Big Lots-I've always thought of it as "Sims for sophisticated gamers", and I keep it on my laptop because it is one of the perfect laptop games.
My take on those games:
Darwinia is offbeat but pretty good-not great through. I admit that I like a little more meat in my RTS games than it offered, so it may have been just a matter of taste-I thought it was definitely a 6-7/10 game.
Indigo Prophecy is totally love/hate and I stopped posting any opinions about it since people are so polarized one way or another. OK, I'll say I liked it a lot and would recommend people play it, but I'm not saying anything more!
Psychonauts is probably the best platformer that's seen a release on the PC since Rayman 2 at looks gorgeous at high res and buttery framerates. Only some lame platform elements near the end really downer the experience. Worth playing just for the milkman conspiracy.
Bad Day LA is crushingly awful.
SWAT 4 is a brilliant.
Never played Harbinger, Project Earth, or the Broken Sword game.
