Internet Meet-Ups Gone Wrong
« on: September 25, 2007, 10:49:52 AM »
So I meant to make a thread about this Sunday night but I forgot.  And I am tired as balls and wanted to share it with you guys since I'm trying to do something to stay awake.

Anyways, on Sunday night, a friend and I went to a restaurant called the Avalon Diner in South Houston.  When we sat down, waiting for our Waiter to come ask for our drink orders, we saw three guys; 2 really fat (like 300 lb's) guys and a skinny uber-nerdy guy.

One of them totally looked like a young Ethan Suplee

They were waiting to be cashed out and nobody was saying anything.  It was odd.  They were just kind of looking around awkwardly.  And then I hear one of them say "So uhh, I guess I will see you guys back on the forum."  They all agree and then one of them goes to start shaking hands, but he either...

A.) Totally creeped out the other two guys previously
or
B.) or he confused the other two socially distinguished mentally-challenged guys.

It was the most painful moment I have ever seen 3 men share when flaccid dick wasn't a factor.

It makes me kind of glad that the only person I have met from a forum IRL was Miguel from GAF.  But I think I creeped him out  :-\

My bandmate and I went to Cleveland for a digital audio software forum meetup.  The event for the day was a visit to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, which had maybe two hours' worth of actually interesting exhibits but we ended up wasting the entire day there because we could never reach consensus on another place to go.  Then we had dinner at this awful expensive Italian restaurant, where I paid $25 to eat two forkfuls of pasta and throw up.

Only people I want to meet here are Cajole and TVC

While I'm definitely quiet, I have no problem dominating other shy people. If you don't want to talk and I want to display my social superiority, I'll start an awesome conversation. You should ask my adopted cousins

I hate when people try to do that dumb hand shit when they leave, and then I'm not paying attention so it takes me a few seconds to notice. Then I feel like an idiot for standing there. Every time.

Stop touching me you feggits.
