What is the GAF/Internet reaction to Halo 3? No spoilers!

Halo 3 isnt graphically impressive to me at all. I bought it for the co-op.

i've played about 30 minutes and while it's no looker -- seriously, outside of the water and foliage, it's an ug -- the enemy ai, setpiece battles, and general gunplay are still the best in the biz. halo still does SHOOTENIN' better than anyone else on a console.

It's all right.  It's Halo.  Looks pretty good, but I have a small HDTV, so.  Still have the same problems I had with the first two - fucking mongoloids for friendlies, confusing same-looking corridors I sometimes get lost in and have to backtrack, etc.

How can you spoil a Halo game? Basically Master Chief will walk around shooting crap and you'll have lots of fun controlling him. Story, ummmmm Aliens and stuff turn up

I think the game is "ok" so far - nothing groundbreaking - but it looks damn good and sticks to the old winning formula well.

actually, let me recant -- the environments actually look really good, and the special effects are nice and subtle. really, my only complaint visually is the low-poly and poorly-animated character models in the cutscenes. as maf told me, they look like the halo 2 bodies with new heads.

- the colors

- the lights

- the glowing explosions and flinging bodies

- the pistol is still badass- but I STILL miss the zoom.

The environmental stuff is awesome, so many explosions and shit flying around, and god DAMN is it satisfying punching someone. I want to add the AI IS really great. I dont care what anyone says, theyre dumb. It rocks.

Take that back, Halo is the milestone on which all FPS gaming thrives. There is no better than Halo.
